1) This site is only for booking Classified advertisements and not for Display or Classified Display advertisements.
2) Advertisements booked on this site will be carried in The Statesman Kolkata, Delhi, Siliguri and Bhubaneshwar editions. Advertisements will also appear in the Internet edition of The Statesman at no extra cost.
3) Public Notices, Legal Notices, Change of Name, Death, Obituaries, and Announcements cannot be booked on the net.
4) Every advertisement submitted for insertion must bear complete name and address of the actual advertiser, not necessary for publication but purposes of record.
5) The advertisement should be booked at least 3 days prior to the date of publication.
6) The Space bar Must be used for word separation. If the number of words fall short by 2 words according to our calculation, the order will cancelled.
7) Advertisements are accepted in good faith and the company accepts no responsibility whatsoever regarding the bonafides of the Advertiser nor can any interview be granted or correspondence entered into regarding any advertisement published.
8) Payments for the advertisements can be made only by approved Credit Cards or through the prescribed payment options.
9) For Cash, Cheque / DD payments the advertiser has to contact The Statesman Head Office (Statesman House, 4 Chowringhee Square, Kolkata 700 001.) or any of the Authorised Booking Agents listed.
10) Demand Drafts or Cheques have to be drawn in favour of The Statesman Ltd., and have to be deposited at Statesman House or at any of The Statesman Offices listed in India. The advertisement will be published only after the cheque is encashed. Advertisement order number and the advertiser’s phone number/s should be mentioned behind the cheque or the demand draft. If any cheque is dishonored the particular advertisement against the payment will automatically be cancelled without informing the advertiser.
11) Advertisement booked online cannot be cancelled or amended. Therefore, advertisers are asked to check advertisement matter carefully before confirming payment.
12) The management does not accept liability for omission or, in the event of errors in publication, for any claim exceeding the cost of the advertisement.
13) The management reserves the right to refuse, amend or withhold any advertisement even though the advertisement has been accepted and paid for.
14) Although every effort is made to insert advertisements on the dates desired, the dates of insertions cannot be guaranteed. In the event of inability to publish on dates desired, advertisements booked for weekdays will be published in the earliest available weekday issue and those booked for Sundays in the next available Sunday issue.
